The letters of Vincent van Gogh to his brother Theo are intense and revealing, full of
passion and longing as well as vivid descriptions of his creative journey. The writing gives
an immediate connection between the artist and his reader even when that reader is separated
by 120 years in time. I have used many of his own words and phrases in this little imagined
